The Larry Rankin Silver Stick Award recognizes
an outstanding student-athlete within the Hockey Academy annually.

The Silver Stick is a tribute to a man who embodies all of the
characteristics that we strive to achieve with all of our student athletes
within the Hockey Academy. 



Larry Rankin Silver Stick Award Criteria:

1. Demonstrates a strong passion to pursue excellence
    
2. On-Ice hockey skill is at a standard of excellence
    
3. Is reaching full potential in the classroom within the four core subjects
    
4. Strong leadership skills which includes servant leadership skills in all training environments
    
5. Carries themselves with great confidence in all aspects of life
    
6. Is a great role model to the younger student-athletes in the program
    
7. Strong work ethic on and off the ice
    
8. Shows great enthusiasm for the game of hockey
    
9. Demonstrates strong integrity and honesty
    
10. Is extremely cooperative and friendly with fellow student-athletes, instructors and teachers
