 The Santo Saporito leadership award recognizes an individual as a superior leader within the Academy, and as a contributing member of the St. Edmund school community.
The award honors a student-athlete who leads by positive example through
on-ice performance, motivation of fellow student-athletes and a strong dedication to one of the following areas:
1) St. Edmund School activities
2) Social justice projects
3) Participation on School Athletic Teams.
The Award, is given to a student-athlete selected by the Hockey Academy staff who best exemplifies leadership skills on and off the ice.
- Good leaders are catalysts for positive action.
- They apply vision, passion and preparation to influence others to work toward a common goal.
- They motivate with confidence, enthusiasm, cooperation and good communication skills. They have strong beliefs, lead by example and bring out the best in others.
- They show credibility, honesty and integrity on a consistent basis.
